May 17, 2015: Can you go 36 days?

Posted on : May 14th, 2015 | By | Category: This Sunday's Service

As we continue celebrating the season of Easter & the Risen Christ, this Sunday we are going to focus on what we can intentionally do to make ourselves healthier. There are both small ways and large ways to make ourselves more spiritually healthy. Mindfulness & changing some of our habits are just a few of them. There are other small things we can do that can really affect us in large ways, making us happier & healthier as we go about creating God’s Realm on Earth.

I have a challenge for all of us to undertake. Come on Sunday to find out what it is.

Blessings,

Lisa

~ This Sunday’s Scriptures~

Psalm 100

A Psalm of thanksgiving

Make a joyful noise to Our God, all the earth.
Worship Our God with gladness;
come into God’s presence with singing.

Know that the Holy One is our God.
It is God that made us, and we are God’s;
we are God’s people, and the sheep of God’s pasture.

Enter God’s gates with thanksgiving,
and God’s courts with praise.
Give thanks to God, bless God’s name.

For Our God is good;
God’s steadfast love endures forever,
and God’s faithfulness to all generations.

Mark 4: 30-31

The parable of the mustard seed.

Jesus also said, ‘With what can we compare the realm of God, or what parable will we use for it? It is like a mustard seed, which, when sown upon the ground, is the smallest of all the seeds on earth; yet when it is sown it grows up and becomes the greatest of all shrubs, and puts forth large branches, so that the birds of the air can make nests in its shade.’
